Namesake Set

Have I mentioned I started selling sets of prints of letters? They are sets of 5 letters. I figured it would be a good gift, so there you go. If only I had enough space on my walls, I would hang my own name there. As of right now though it's covered with artwork of countless artists.

When I first decided to do these sets, I had a little problem. I realized that the background color on some of the letters was a little different from others. Lets be honest, it's impossible to mix exactly the same color. In sets it would've looked bad to have mismatched colored prints, so I had to fix the problem. What I did, was a little GIMP magic. I basically painted a blank bage with a color on the background I wanted and then replaced backgrounds of all the letters with this one. This way all the prints now look like they belong together. It took me a lot of time to do it for each and every letter, but it was worht it.

One of the mane reasons I love GIMP so darn much...

Apocalypse Update:
It cooled down again... figures, weekends are approaching... It looks like there wouldn't be and beach time for me this week, although... you can never trust forecast. So nothing new really.

Fire Butterfly Jewels and a Giveaway

Wanted to leave a quick note about another giveaway I have going on. This one is for one of my letters. It's on Fire Butterfly Jewels where all of it will be nicely taken care of for me, so I'll just quickly retire and get back to my painting... the procrastination will kill me one day...

Almost forgot, the apocalypse... I think pastafarians are starting to loose, because it was way too hot today. and yes, I actually had to water my plants today since the rain never came. It's so humid out, I really wish we had some rain, but alas, Yahweh decided I should suffer for my sins and bake alive. Must be because I worship animal idols. 

Ornate Letter Frenzy

I have been posting the rest of the letters on etsy yesterday and today, there is a lot more to go, but I figured I'd mention it here. I'm planning to sponsor a giveaway on a different site, and the gift will be one of these letters.

A strange thing, I slept for only 4 or 5 hours and don't even feel it. I have to stop staying up till sunrise.

Now on the brighter side, it hailed last night, those darn pastafarians must've overdone it... However it's nice and sunny today. It's OK though, we have the whole 6 month before the end of the world ends.  What kind of sicko said that the end of the world, the total destruction of everything we worked so hard to achieve is a good news anyway? Now that's the kind of people you don't want to have an atomic bomb.

S is for Sun, Ornate Alphabet

Here goes another letter, this time it's S. I know, I'm not doing this in order, but we artists are funky and moody and do strange things, so I have to act like this. Otherwise who would believe I'm an artist?

I have been trying to organize myself and found out it's not good for my sleep cycle. I have certain amount of work I have to get done every day, but I'm a procrastinator. I wait till it's 9pm and only then do I actually start doing it. As a result I end up going to sleep at 4-5am. Well, at least I started blogging more regularly. Now I have to figure out how to invent a new calendar and get everyone to use it. I mean honestly, I need 2 more days in a week. Without it I don't have enough time for arts and crafts.

A is for Ability, Rustic Alphabet

The first letter of the alphabet is finally up on line. This is from the rustic alphabet that I have drawn and colored. I wanted to make the whole alphabet in matching ornate style.
This letter can work on it's own or can be combined with others to spell out names, words, or quotes. I'll be adding the rest of it soon.
